Update 17/09 -

If outstanding invoices are not settled by the 30th September 2024 you will not be permitted to use the equipment on the Rails at any racecourse until such time as payment is made in full.

Please check your inboxes, statements were sent out to all those with outstanding balances on 11th September 2024.

It has been brought to the attention of RBA Joint Management Ltd that a small number of bookmakers have significant arrears in their daily hire fees. These very low fees are charged to maintain and update the equipment used on the racecourse, this also assists in bookmakers not having to purchase, transport and maintain their own equipment. If fees continue to go unpaid, the daily fees will have to increase and this will be unfair to those who do pay. We request that those bookmakers who are in arrears ensure that these accounts are brought up to date at their earliest opportunity.

Rails Joint Management would like to remind Rails Bookmakers that it is in their interest to treat the rails equipment with respect and as if it was their own. We have just received a substantial invoice for missing and broken parts which, in the long-term, may result in an increase in the daily charges. We would also like to remind bookmakers that the daily fees are also charged to ensure that all the equipment is in place and ready to use on any given race day, it is unfair to other users if parts are broken or taken which will result in joints being unfit to use.

We thank you all for working with us on this issue and a daily check will be made on those joints used to ensure that they are ready for the next meeting.

Regards,

Simon Walmsley, RBA Joint Management Ltd.
