Dear all,

We hope you are keeping well and are looking forward to The Festival.

As many of you are aware, following the bookmaker parking pass trial in the 23/24 Season, we have now introduced this as a permanent process for all Cheltenham race days going forward including The Festival.

The 23/24 Season proved to be a very wet one with record breaking rainfall and as a result our car parks received a high footfall in less-than-ideal conditions. Ultimately, as much as we would like to, we cannot park everyone at the racecourse and therefore why we have introduced the application process. The Purple Car Park is often the one that is the most popular however this has the smallest capacity out of the three areas we offer, bookmaker parking, especially for The Festival. For this year all grass parks will be trackway where possible this includes the Yellow car park.

We understand that Bookmakers may not utilise their pitch on all four days of the Festival and only require parking for select days. With this in mind, we have introduced individual parking passes for each day of the Festival relevant to the three car parks. When applying for your Festival parking pass, it is important you specify which days you are in attendance for.

Bookmaker Festival List Parking Pass – 2025 Festival

Bookmakers who own a Festival List pitch at Cheltenham Racecourse are entitled to one parking pass per pitch. Each pass is allocated dependent on the location of the owned pitch/betting ring. The allocation will be as follows:

  • Course (Best Mate) – Purple Car Park
  • Centaur, Tattersalls & Rails – Yellow Car Park
  • Courtyard, Lower Tattersalls & Lower Rails – Red Car Park

To claim your Festival 2025 parking pass, please contact Cheltenham.Bookmakers@thejockeyclub.co.uk and include the following details:

  1. Name of Applicant
  2. Trading Name
  3. Pitch Number and Betting Ring (Festival List ONLY)
  4. Days of Festival in attendance
  5. Postal Address Details

If you require accessible parking or have a preferred parking location due to accessibility requirements, different than to the allocated car park for your betting ring, please include this information when contacting us.

The deadline to apply for a parking pass in time for The Festival is Friday 28th February 2025. Due to limited capacity, parking passes are issued on a first come first served basis. Once an area is filled, we will only be able to offer the nearest alternative.

We thank you for your cooperation on this matter and should you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact the team via the Cheltenham Bookmakers email address.

Kind regards,

The Cheltenham Racecourse Team
